Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began when she was 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing BJJ, and wrestling. She made her debut as an amateur at the age of 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd later went on to win three bouts in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the fighters she beat ended in less than a minute. In the following weeks, she went to WCFC to win again, beating Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia was beaten by Aspen and defeated her via the unanimous decision, which put the blemish on Aspen's amateur record. Ladd rebounded from her loss, and defeated Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record to 8-1. Aspen made her debut with Invicta FC in 2015 to begin her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her move from Bantamweight to her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen defeated McGill through her grappling and finished her off in the third round via TKO. Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 in the catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. Aspen won her fight via TKO in the second-round. At Invicta FC 21, she had her final match for the company. She beat Sijaraebanks with a majority decision. In Aspen's UFC debut took place during UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She beat Lina with a ground and pound win in the 2nd Round. She came back to her winning ways and racked up an impressive win in her next bout against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd finished Evinger during the first round and earned the night bonus. The fighter fought for the first time in a major fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. The two fights were one of the most competitive fights that Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. The two fighters each received each the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie put an end to Ladd's winning streak in 16 seconds. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya during the third round on UFC in ESPN 7. She was replaced by fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
